Portrait Plasma™
Portrait Plasma™ is an anti-aging procedure using the newest treatment energy to create a younger healthier skin at its foundation
It’s been a long time since plasma occurred only in nature. Thanks to the development of plasma technology, its man-made uses have become widespread. According to the Coalition for Plasma Science, plasma plays a key role in everything from fluorescent lights to radio transmission.
An exciting breakthrough in plasma technology for the cosmetic industry, Portrait Plasma Skin Regeneration is unparalleled for wrinkle reduction, tightening and improvement in skin tone and texture—all of which are achieved with a low risk profile where the skin acts as a natural biological dressing during the healing process. No other procedure treats more conditions at the same time.
The application of plasma technology
Portrait Plasma is the first technology to employ highly energized nitrogen-based plasma to produce a unique thermal profile. This energy works effectively at and below the skin's surface to stimulate remodeling of the skin's architecture, replacing old damaged collagen with significant amounts of new collagen - the key to quality, long-lasting improvement. While most treatments offer specific but limited results, Portrait Plasma deals with multiple conditions simultaneously. More than three years of clinical testing have demonstrated unparalleled improvement in wrinkling, tightening, skin texture, acne scars and surface discoloration for up to two year - an advantage that distinguishes Portrait Plasma from other cosmetic treatments.
Portrait Plasma is used to treat the following conditions of the face and body; wrinkles, superficial skin lesions common on sun-exposed areas, and actinic keratosis, the brown patches that result from exposure to the sun. There are several treatment protocols that can be used to meet a patient’s needs and expectations.
Plasma Skin Rejuvenation: Optimal Versatility and Outstanding Results
Portrait Plasma™ offers five skin rejuvenation protocols – PSR 1, 2, 3, PSR Non-Facial, Acne Scars, and Low Energy Triple Pass — based on the severity of sun damage, wrinkles and patient expectations. Results can be seen for each protocol with improvement as the energy level increases. Recovery time following a Portrait Plasma skin rejuvenation treatment is very different from other procedures. It is called Restoration and is defined by the new healthier skin progressively replacing the old photodamaged skin. With Portrait Restoration there is dramatic, early improvement in skin quality, and removal of dyschromia and benign skin lesions. Restoration time also increases with the energy level; overall it is significantly shorter than other skin treatments and post-treatment care is easier.
Following the Restoration period, Portrait plasma treated skin continues to regenerate the reticular architecture of the upper dermis and DE junction. Intense fibroblast activity leading to collagen thickening as well as improvement in elastin continues for up to two years. Portrait Plasma Regeneration provides sustainable improvements in wrinkle reduction, enhanced by a natural, tighter, more vibrant and youthful appearance.
