Millions of women are bothered by spider veins - those small, yet unsightly clusters of red, blue or purple veins that most commonly appear on the thighs, calves and ankles. In fact, it’s estimated that at least half of the adult population is plagued with this common cosmetic problem. To accommodate the increasing demand of our clientele, we offer a variety of minimally invasive procedures.
Sclerotherapy
A solution, called a slerosing agent, is injected into the veins. The injection
causes a sclerosis of the formation of fibrous tissue in the vessel. This process
causes a gradual fading of the treated vessel over a period of several weeks
to several months.
Laser Vein
Small spider veins on the face and legs can be treated with an Intense Pulse
Light energy. The laser energy is used to coagulate the blood, thus causing
the vessel wall to collapse. Over time the vessel is reabsorbed by the body
and disappears. Several treatments may be required to achieve a noticeable
difference. Treatment should not be performed on tanned skin, either from direct
sunlight or chemical tanning products. |
