Our Surface Skin Spa offers non-surgical facial rejuvenation treatments at the hands of Misty Shedd, our highly experienced Registered Nurse Injector.
Our surgery center offers a unique blend of both surgical and non-surgical cosmetic procedures. Patients seeking non-surgical facial rejuvenation will have the pleasure of meeting Misty Shedd, our Registered Nurse Injector. She has extensive experience with the art of injecting and has worked alongside Dr. Yaker since 2006.
Misty has years of experience, skill, and a growing in-depth knowledge of the various injectable treatments and related procedures for patients seeking a non-surgical alternative to facial rejuvenation. In addition to being a highly trained Registered Nurse Injector, Misty is also a Certified Advanced Trainer for Allergan, the manufacturer of Botox and Juvederm. In addition, she educates and trains many other nurse injectors and physicians the latest and most advanced techniques. Misty has also completed training in advanced facial filler techniques using the ArqueDerma Lift. Misty also performs dermabrasion, microdermabrasion, and chemical peel procedures. She enjoys working with her patients and evaluating each individual with their own customized treatment plan.
Misty’s philosophy is to provide patient-centered care in the aesthetic setting. She acknowledges that symmetry is beauty and is a true artist in which each patient is a work of art. She aims to continue her education and stays current with the leading aesthetic innovations. She is extremely detail oriented and educates her patient on injections leaving them at ease on what they can expect during and after treatment. She strives to care for her patients by providing their fountain of youth as well as increasing their self-confidence on both a physical and mental level.
Misty stresses the importance of taking into consideration time to heal after having injections. Not knowing if a patient will bruise or not, after an injection is a determining factor whether to inject or not. Many times a patient will say something to the effect of, “I’m in a wedding this weekend” or “I will be on stage, speaking at a conference”. Misty encourages her patients to keep in mind, even though it is not surgery, time for healing may be required.
